The Pregnancy Help Network is a network of life affirming pregnancy help and community
organisations in South Africa.

Danièle Gradwell
Executive Director

Danièle serves Africa Cares for Life as Executive Director and leads a dedicated team who are
passionate about connecting, supporting and advancing pregnancy help organisations in South
Africa through equipping leaders and volunteers, marketing, networking and catalysing the start of
new pregnancy help organisations.
Danièle served as a director and board member of a pregnancy help organisation for 11 years and
served on the management team of Africa Cares for Life for a number of years before taking up the
role of Executive Director where she oversees the vision and mission. With a background in
training, material development and coaching, she is passionate about empowering pregnancy help
organisation leaders and volunteers through training and coaching. She is married to Mike who
shares her passion for pregnancy help and together they have 3 children and 5 grandsons.

Rudi von Fintel
Board Chairperson

Rudi is a Systems Engineering manager with small business management experience, organisational
skills and a technical aptitude. Rudi passionately supports the work carried out by pregnancy help
organisations.

Suzette Ratcliffe
Treasurer

Suzette has been practicing as an attorney in private practice since 2008. She believes
wholeheartedly in the role that Africa Cares plays in unplanned and crisis pregnancies and believes
pregnancy help organisations are essential to support all pregnant women in all communities.

Laurie Edwall
Board Member

Laurie is a qualified elementary teacher and has lead a pregnancy help centre in the George area
for 24 years. She is dedicated to seeing new pregnancy help organisations start up and loves
supporting new emerging organisations and leaders.

Zodumo Mvo
Board Member

Zodumo is a medical paediatrics doctor with 11 years working experience with pregnant women
and new born babies. She is passionate about mentoring young girls in academic institutions and in communities.
